Too Hard to Swallow

This book is going to help you progress along your healing journey from adversity to possibility. It will help you choose to live well with illness, grief, endings, beginnings and life’s challenges. It will help you to find the light, joy, love and life you seek.

It will show you how to successfully navigate the route from illness to wellness from someone who has been there, who has experienced the oscillation between acceptance and hope, the duality of darkness and light, the co-existence of surrender and letting go, and who has learned to ride the tumultuous waves, rather than try to make the storm disappear.

It will show you how to identify your needs, clarify your desires, amplify your actions, dignify your self-worth and magnify your wellbeing. It will help you to discover your resilience, strength, tenacity, positivity and optimism whilst going through any ‘shituation’ you face (yes, that’s right, that’s my own term to describe a shit situation that you cannot control but need to get through!).

In these pages, you’ll find my story, my truth and ten lessons that I’ve learned the hard way, so you don’t have to. Some lessons you may have already come across, others may never have crossed your mind or path. No matter your shituation, I want you to know that you can find peace. I can’t promise to cure your physical or mental conditions, but I can help you unearth more equanimity.
